On Saturday night (Sept. 5) a man was stabbed on Linda Mar Beach.
Police were dispatched to the 5400 block of Cabrillo Highway for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred on the south end of Pacifica State Beach. Paramedics and firefighters from the North County Fire Authority also responded.
Officers determined a group of people had been at the beach when an argument escalated between two of the persons. One member of the group, the victim, attempted to separate the two. The victim was stabbed with a knife while trying to separate the two subjects who had been arguing.
The stabber fled on foot southbound on the beach.
Officers and paramedics administered aid at the scene. The victim, a 29 year old male, was transported to an area trauma center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses at the scene identified the suspect as 27 year old resident of Pacifica, Sebastian Kibblewhite.
Pacifica Police Department detectives conducted further investigation and later located and apprehended Kibblewhite without incident. He was booked at the San Mateo County jail in Redwood City for a charge of 245 PC- Assault With a Deadly Weapon.
